Counselling
Some aspects of gynaecological care can be stressful for women and their partners.
There will be occasions when women/couples may feel the need for attending a counsellor or psychotherapist e.g. psychosexual counselling, infertility and pregnancy loss.

Counselling plays an important part of a multi-disciplinary approach to many areas of women’s health. Counselling should be non-judgmental and totally confidential. It involves listening, helping and giving support through difficult periods in a woman or couples life. Problems such as miscarriage/ stillbirth, fertility crises, sexual problems or following the diagnosis of significant gynaecological conditions.
A counsellor does not tell a couple or woman what to do but rather guides them through their feelings in such a way that they are then able to make the most appropriate decision for their individual situation.
We have a list of counsellors available through our clinic who are geographically spread throughout the county. Some of these counsellors work within the clinic campus but are
independent of our practice. Our team will give you every help in finding a counsellor to suits. |
